The good news is that Ottawa transit users could be riding free of charge on the Confederation Line all December long. The bad news is that that shiny new light rail transit line would have to be back in service by then. It derailed in mid-September and has been out of service ever since. To fill us in on the whole story, we welcome Joanne Chianello, city journalist for CBC Ottawa.
