Imagine if fruit had a longer shelf life. Rotting and spoiled fruit is a problem consumers, retailers, and farmers have to deal with regularly. As Ontario Hubs field producer Jeyan Jeganathan explains, a team of scientists at the University of Guelph are hoping to fix that with a naturally occurring chemical commonly used in the flavour industry.
