Many find it hard to part with certain items when de-cluttering, yet there's next to no remorse or second-guessing when it comes to tossing food. The environment, farmers, energy, water and other resources reel from the $31 billion in food waste accrued every year in Canada. And the power to change this excess starts at home. Tammara Soma, PhD candidate in urban planning at the University of Toronto, shares five ways to cut down on wasting food at home.
