Pearson and the Blue Berets

The Agenda with Steve Paikin

Lester Pearson's work for peace in the 1950s earned him a Nobel Prize, led to the creation of the famed UN peacekeeping force, and helped build Canada's reputation as an important middle power. It also eventually helped make him Canada's 14th prime minister in 1963. Antony Anderson's book, "The Diplomat: Lester Pearson and the Suez Canal Crisis," details that formative time for the country and he joins The Agenda to discuss Pearson's life.
