Ontario Universities and the Trump Bump

The Agenda with Steve Paikin

U.S. applications to Canadian universities have soared since the election. The University of Toronto saw an 80 per cent bump in American applicants compared to last year. And back in November U.S.-based Google searches of "university in Canada" hit the highest level in more than a decade. The Agenda convenes a panel of representatives from Ontario universities, as well as Deb Matthews, the province's minister of advanced education and skills development, to discuss the Trump bump.
