Words are powerful. They have the ability to shape one's future, as an Ottawa poet has witnessed first-hand. As he struggled to find his identity as a first-generation Canadian from a Muslim family, Khaleefa Hamdan used spoken-word poetry to help him cope with his depression, and he took on the persona of Apollo the Child. Jordan Steinhauer's film was a finalist in TVO's Short Doc Contest 2018.
