Thirty-one-year-old Karishma has been a victim of human trafficking since she was 13 throughout the Niagara, Hamilton and Brantford regions. Her childhood was one of sex work, family coercion and drug abuse. She escaped in June and is now recovering and transitioning with the help of Katarina MacLeod, an advocate, educator, and crisis counsellor at Rising Angels. They talk to Piya Chattopadhyay about the growing problem of human trafficking in Ontario.
