Elwy Yost: The Man Who Taught Ontario About Film

The Agenda with Steve Paikin

Saturday Night at the Movies was a cornerstone of TVO programming for most of the educational broadcaster's history. And none of it would have been possible without Elwy Yost, the enthusiastic cinephile behind the show, who interviewed some of the biggest names of international cinema. On the eve of TVO's world premier broadcast of "Magic Shadows, Elwy Yost: A Life in Movies," we bring together some of the most important people in Elwy's life: his longtime executive producer Risa Shuman; and his sons, filmmaker Graham Yost and writer Chris Yost, to talk about the man behind the screen.
