Portrait artist Nicky Philipps asks the team to investigate a painting that hangs on the walls of Picton Castle. Her great-grandfather, Sir Laurence Philipps, bought it in the 1930s, believing it to be by Pierre Auguste Renoir. But the Impressionist painting has been dogged by doubt for half a century, and two rival art authorities - the Bernheim-Jeune Gallery and the Wildenstein Institute - can't agree whether it's genuine or fake.
