Charities and the nonprofit sector play a vital role in Canada's economy, employing over 2.4 million people and accounting for 8.5 per cent of Canada's Gross Domestic Product. The pandemic has made it difficult for many in the industry to stay afloat. We invite FoodShare Toronto's Paul Taylor; Imagine Canada's Bruce Macdonald; and Helen Francis of the YMCA Northeastern Ontario to discuss why some organizations are more concerned about the challenges that lie ahead of them in the coming years.
