Last month, one of the biggest tech companies, Sidewalk Labs (a sister company of Google), announced it would be building the city of the future in the east end of Toronto's waterfront. Enabled by data, embedded with artificial intelligence, and controlled by robots, the neighbourhood, called Quayside, sounds like a dream come true. But is it?
