In the spring of next year, 4000 low-income Ontarians will receive their last cheque as participants of Ontario's basic income pilot. The program was set to run for three years but was cancelled with less than a year remaining. It was a program the PCs promised to keep during their election campaign, but later scrapped when they formed government. Ontario Hubs field producer Jeyan Jeganathan travelled to Thunder Bay - one of the three cities included in the pilot - to see how people are faring with the cut-off looming.
