More To Life

Christmas is a great time for crafts. Amber Tiede, of A and E Design, joins Mary to share some festive floral arrangements, and create some wonderful, inexpensive crafts to make with your family. She'll take your questions on any problems you've had making crafts, and to hear any of your crafty ideas. This is the book children and their parents are talking about... and it's about as far from the magical world of Harry Potter as you can get. It's called The Breadwinner by Canadian writer Deborah Ellis. It's a gripping story of life under Taliban rule in Afghanistan, told through the eyes of an 11 year old girl. Deborah Ellis is here to talk about it. This show contains 1 field piece, "Props Master". Also, a mini-medical segment "Heart Sounds". Show is phone-in based, and viewers can also participate via e-mail.
