4th Reading

This week on Fourth Reading, host Steve Paikin talks about the provincial election. Veteran political observer Greg Vezina joins Steve and our Queen's Park watchers - Tory activist and Toronto lawyer Jane Pepino; NDP campaign spokesperson Hugh Mackenzie and Liberal strategist John Duffy, who is pinch hitting for Patrick Gossage. They'll be mulling over two topics: the issue of welfare policy, as well as considering how the media is covering - or not covering - fringe parties. Also, Steve drops by Queen's Park to consider the campaign with two veterans of life on the hustings - Toronto Star bureau chief Bill Walker and Thomson News Service columnist Pauline Johnson.
