Archive: The Real Skydome: Stargazing at the David Dunlap Observatory

The Science Café

We learn how the David Dunlap Observatory contributes to astronomical research, and educates new astronomers as well as the public. We also discover how telescopes work and how scientists make observations. Tom Bolton, Associate Director of the Observatory, talks about its history and takes us on a tour of the 74" telescope. Bob Garrison, for the Chile Observatory, takes us into the "Warm Room" where stars are tracked and observed.
