Archive: Summer Reading, How To Get Published

More To Life

We all have those guilty pleasures. Books that we wouldn't necessarily admit to reading at the book club but enjoyed never the less. Often called "beach reading" these books are full of adventure and good-looking heroes. To celebrate the best in lowbrow reading we've invited some of our favorite guests. Carla Collins is the host of Mix 99.9's Carla and Company, and Thom Ernst, and Lisa Srebotnjak. They'll be here to recommend their favorites in beach reading and take your calls. And at some point in our lives, many of us have had the dream of becoming a famous writer. So many of us that the phrase "I'm a writer" has become cliche. But, do you really have what it takes? Priscila Uppal is a professor and Coordinator of the Creative Writing Program at York University. And she'll be here to tell us the dos and don'ts of getting published. This show includes one Imprint segment "Bridget Sweet".
