The Mike Harris government is cutting" red tape" in many government departments. They say it's not "de-regulation" but rather streamlining the regulatory process and creating jobs. But the critics, especially in the labour and the environment, say workers' rights are being diminished and polluters are being left in charge of the environment. Conservative MPP John Baird (Nepean) and Liberal MPP Dominic Agostino (Hamilton East) join our regular "4th Reading" commentators, former Ontario NDP Cabinet Minister Ruth Grier; Richard Mahoney, at one time the President of the Ontario Liberals and Ontario PC advisor, John Mykytyshyn on provincial politics.
