Before she made it to work as a local journalist in Oromo, Ethiopia, Martha Kumsa was kidnapped and imprisoned for ten years. Like many Ethiopian journalists she went through unspeakable torture simply for doing her job. Today Martha Kuwee Kumsa is a free woman, a lecturer on social work at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo. She's here today to share her story. Show contains an Imprint segment "Ginger Press".
