Betty-Lou is working to complete the construction of a medicine lodge founded by her father, Dan Pine, a lifelong herbal and spiritual healer who died last year at the age of 93. Dan's family was presented with the Award of Merit by the Ontario Historical Society to commemorate his life's work as a healer, storyteller, community activist and teacher.
