Addressing Vaccine Hesitancy

The Agenda with Steve Paikin

To attend school, children in Ontario must be vaccinated against several contagious diseases - from diphtheria to chicken pox, measles, mumps and some others. There are exceptions, for those immune-suppressed, but also for parents who object for other reasons. Now, the Toronto Board of Health is urging the province to end all non-medical exemptions for vaccinations. To explore this topic, The Agenda welcomes Dr. Vinita Dubey, associate Medical Officer of Health, Toronto Public Health; and Globe and Mail health reporter Carly Weeks.
