(music plays)

The opening sequence begins.

Clips of people of different ages flash on screen one by one against an animated blue sky background. First a baby boy, then a 10-year-old boy with short brown hair, a teenage girl with curly brown hair, a man in his thirties with middle-parted brown hair and glasses, and finally a woman in her sixties with long gray hair.

The title appears: "Your Health."

Maureen stands in a studio with windows and sofa chairs in the background. She is in her forties, has short, side-parted, curly blond-highlighted brown hair in a bob, and wears a blue suit.

Maureen says HI, I'M MAUREEN TAYLOR.
THINKING OF STARTING
AN EXERCISE PROGRAM?
ARE YOU DETERMINED
TO GET FIT?
THE NO PAIN NO GAIN
MANTRA CAN BE DANGEROUS
FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN,
ACCORDING TO PHYSIOTHERAPIST
KELLY SMITH.

The clip turns to a group of people following an aerobics routine in a gymnasium.

Kelly narrates IN OUR PRACTICE WE'RE
CONTINUING TO SEE PEOPLE
JUMPING INTO FITNESS
WITH GREAT GUSTO,
WHICH IS REALLY FANTASTIC.
HOWEVER TOO MUCH ENTHUSIASM
IS NOT ALWAYS A GOOD THING.

Kelly Smith appears in an office leaning on an exercise ball. She is in her late thirties with short black hair. She is wearing a black turtle neck with a green-and-black checkered vest. A caption reads "Kelly Smith. Physiotherapist."

Kelly says WE'RE COMMONLY SEEING
SPORTS INJURIES
HERE IN THE CLINIC THAT
ARE DUE TO OVER USE...
WHICH IS BASICALLY DOING
TOO MUCH, TOO FAST, TOO SOON.
AND THESE INJURIES
ARE OCCURRING IN BOTH
CHILDREN AND ADULTS.
IN THIS DAY AND AGE,
KIDS ARE TRAINING
AS HARD AS OR HARDER
THAN ADULTS AND THEY'RE
DEVELOPING SIMILAR INJURIES.

Clips play of kids playing soccer, baseball, lacrosse, and hockey.

Back in the office, Kelly says THE PROBLEM BEING IS THAT
THESE KIDS HAVE OPEN GROWTH
PLATES AND GROWING
MUSCLES AND THAT REALLY
PREDISPOSES THEM TO CERTAIN
INJURIES, AND I THINK
PARENTS NEED TO BE AWARE OF
THIS WHEN THEY'RE ENROLLING
KIDS IN THESE LONG
SPORTS PROGRAMS.
BASICALLY, OUR MESSAGE
TO OUR CLIENTS IS TO
BALANCE THEIR WORKOUTS.
YOU KNOW, CROSS TRAIN, JOG
ONE DAY, BIKE THE NEXT.
IF YOU'RE IN THE GYM AND
YOU'RE WORKING OUT ON WEIGHTS,
MAKE SURE YOU BALANCE
YOUR WEIGHT WORKOUT.

Clips play of individuals working out in the gym.

Kelly narrates
AND IF YOU'RE WORKING WITH
A PERSONAL TRAINER, MAKE
SURE THEY'RE WELL-QUALIFIED.
THERE ARE A LOT OF
INDIVIDUALS OUT THERE WHO
CALL THEMSELVES PERSONAL
TRAINERS WITH ONLY A
ONE OR A TWO-DAY COURSE.
AND THEN IF YOU HAPPEN TO
DEVELOP PAIN WITH A WORKOUT,
THEN REST THE AREA FOR
A FEW DAYS, APPLY ICE
SEVERAL TIMES A DAY FOR
TEN TO FIFTEEN MINUTES.
AND THEN IF THAT PAIN
HASN'T RESOLVED IN ABOUT
FOUR DAYS THEN SEEK
ADVICE FROM YOUR
PHYSIOTHERAPIST OR PHYSICIAN.
BECAUSE ONCE AN INJURY
BECOMES CHRONIC, IT TAKES
FAR LONGER TO HEAL AND
IT'S MUCH MORE DIFFICULT
TO DEAL WITH.

A slate reads "Viewers should consult their own medical professional for advice specific to their individual circumstances."
