David faces the screen.

A caption reads "Ontario Hubs: Cannabis Tours. David Rockne Corrigan. Eastern Ontario Hub Editor."

David is in his thirties, clean-shaven, with short curly brown hair. He's wearing a gray suit and checkered shirt.

He says IT IS THE FIRST SUMMER
OF LEGALIZED, RECREATIONAL
CANNABIS IN ONTARIO.
ALL ACROSS CANADA, IN FACT.
AND A NUMBER OF BUSINESSES
AND ENTREPRENEURS
ARE HOPING TO CAPITALIZE
ON WHAT IS ESSENTIALLY
THE FIRST SUMMER TOURIST SEASON
WITH LEGALIZED CANNABIS.
AND ONE OF THOSE COMPANIES IS
IN MY NECK OF THE WOODS
HERE IN EASTERN ONTARIO.
THEY'RE OPENING
WHAT THEY'RE CALLING
THE FIRST CANNABIS-FRIENDLY
GOLF COURSE.
THEY'VE NAMED IT, WAIT FOR IT,
ROLLING GREENS GOLF COURSE.
TONGUE-IN-CHEEK THERE,
OF COURSE.

A picture shows a person wearing a green sweater with a shoulder logo of a golf course that reads "Rolling Greens. Come roll with us."

David continues THEY SAY THEIR MOTTO IS
"COME ROLL WITH US."
IT'S A GOLF COURSE, THEY SAY,
LIKE ANY OTHER.
THEY HAVE OPENED.
THEY OPENED ON APRIL 20,
WHICH I GUESS IS AN IMPORTANT
DATE FOR CANNABIS USERS.
AND THEY'VE BEEN GOING NOW
FOR ABOUT A MONTH AND A HALF,
AND THEY SAY IT'S BYOB:
BRING YOUR OWN BUD.
"BUD" REFERRING TO THE FLOWER
OF THE CANNABIS PLANT,
I'VE BEEN TOLD.
BUT THEY ARE OPEN UP
FOR BUSINESS NOW.
THEY SAY THAT THEY WANT TO DO
FOR CANNABIS ENTERTAINMENT
WHAT CANOPY GROWTH DID
FOR CANNABIS IN SMITHS FALLS.
CANOPY GROWTH IS, OF COURSE,
THE COMPANY THAT IS WORKING
OUT OF THE OLD HERSHEY CHOCOLATE
FACTORY THERE IN SMITHS FALLS,
AND IS NOW ONE OF THE WORLD'S
LARGEST CANNABIS PRODUCERS.
SO, THAT'S ONE THING HAPPENING
IN EASTERN ONTARIO.
CLOSER TO WHERE I AM, IN MY
NECK OF THE WOODS IN KINGSTON,
WE'VE GOT A COMPANY
CALLED SPIRITLEAF,
AND THEY'VE OPENED UP A STORE
AT THE BOTTOM OF PRINCESS
AND ONTARIO STREET
HERE IN KINGSTON.
AND PART OF IT IS A PARTNERSHIP
WITH THE TRAGICALLY HIP.
OF COURSE, HOMETOWN HEROES HERE.
I WENT INTO THE STORE TO VISIT,
AND THEY'VE GOT A BIG PAINTING
OF GORD DOWNIE.

A picture shows a large painting of Gord Downie in a denim jacket and a tan hat. The picture hangs on a wall flanked by two paddles.

David continues THERE ARE A NUMBER OF STRAINS
NAMED AFTER
SOME FAMOUS TRAGICALLY HIP
SONGS.

Another picture shows four boxes in black, white and one colour each. A blue one called "Grace", a red one called "50", a yellow one called "Meridian", and a pale blue one called "Moon."

David continues SO, TWO DIFFERENT APPROACHES
THERE
TO HOW CANNABIS TOURISM
IS WORKING IN THE PROVINCE.
SO, THAT'S SORT OF
A LAY OF THE LAND
AS FAR AS CANNABIS TOURISM GOES
IN ONTARIO
IN THESE EARLY STAGES OF
LEGALIZED RECREATIONAL CANNABIS.

An animated slate reads "Ontario Hubs. Ontario Hubs are made possible by The Barry and Laurie Green Family Charitable Trust and Goldie Feldman."
