Episode 1 - Meeting Waffle
Evie Bell's Mum, Jess, has just married Doug Brooklyn's Dad, Simon. As the newly blended, Brooklyn-Bell family get the house ready for a mini wedding reception, Evie discovers a puppy amongst the wedding gifts. Evie tells her family what she has found and shows them the pup's hiding place but the dog has gone and now nobody believes her. Evie is determined to find the cute pup and searches the garden. Doug calls from upstairs. He's found the pup hiding in Evie's bedroom. Doug and Evie are excited and soon Jess is at the bedroom door wondering what the fuss is about. Vet Jess meets the pup and falls in love with him too but she contacts the local dog warden hoping to reunite the puppy with his owner; someone must be missing him. While the family wait for the dog's owner to come forward, Jess' dad, Gramps, arrives and Simon reluctantly agrees the pup can stay for just one night. Meanwhile, the pup begins chewing the table cloth of the wedding spread. Spotting imminent disaster, Simon launches himself at the table of food hoping to save the cake but slides the length of it and crashes onto the floor. It's a massive cake disaster and Simon says the pup who caused it should go. The cake chaos and barking alerts dog-phobic, next door neighbour, Mrs Hobbs. The family explain the pup won't be staying long and begin clearing up the cake mess before their guests arrive. But Evie wants to spend as much time with the pup as she can. She names the puppy Waffle and then gets the surprise of her life.... (Waffle can talk!)

Episode 2 - Night Night, Waffle
As the wedding party comes to an end, the Brooklyn-Bells wave off their guests and settle down for their first night as a family together....with Waffle, the new found pup! He proves to be quite a handful when he spills a bag of dog food all over the floor and splashes about in the bath. But even Simon is impressed when Waffle somehow manages to save his mobile phone which is loaded with wedding photos from falling into the water. At bedtime, Waffle causes more disruption when he doesn't want to be left alone downstairs, prompting a visit from next door neighbour, Mrs Hobbs, who isn't happy about the incessant barking. She reluctantly meets Waffle, who instantly wants to befriend George, her beloved cat. The Brooklyn-Bells assure Mrs Hobbs that Waffle should be reunited with his owner soon and will only be staying for one night, so the disruption will be short-lived. Waffle's barking continues into the night so the family decide there's only one thing for it. To keep Mrs Hobbs happy and Waffle company, their first night all together as a family is spent sleeping on camp beds on the kitchen floor! As they settle to sleep Jess hears Waffle speak but surely she must be dreaming....

Episode 3 - Goodbye Waffle?
It's the morning after the wedding and the Brooklyn-Bells wake from their slumber on the kitchen floor. Their first night as a family has been spent with Waffle, the new- found puppy, keeping him company and stopping him from barking. Evie hears Waffle speak again. She's delighted and tries to convince Doug that Waffle IS a Wonder Dog. Doug insists that dogs can't talk but he changes his mind when he hears Waffle speak for himself. Today, Waffle will be leaving but he tells Doug he wants to stay. So Evie helps Waffle hide - that way she can play with him for longer and if his owner comes forward, maybe Waffle won't have to go.... But Jess doesn't fall for Evie's plan. Instead, she invites Evie along to her veterinary practice so she can be with Waffle a little longer and help Jess find out about Waffle's owners from his microchip. Doug says a sad goodbye to Waffle while Mrs Hobbs breathes a huge sigh of relief. At the vets, Jess is surprised to discover Waffle doesn't have a microchip but she's even more astonished to discover Waffle really can speak! Jess decides the family will foster Waffle and look after him while they try to find his owner. At home, Simon accepts this temporary solution but Mrs Hobbs is not pleased about the pup's extended stay. Simon thinks Waffle's owner will come forward if the Brooklyn-Bells raise awareness of the pup, so he busies himself taking photos of Waffle to post on social media. As the family and Waffle pose, the puppy speaks again but Simon is sure it was Doug and accuses his family of having over-active imaginations.

Episode 4 - Waffle Explores
After another restless night, thanks to Waffle's barking, Doug and Evie find Simon snoring in their new ball pit. The doorbell rings! It's Ali and Anaya, Doug and Evie's best friends - it's their first playdate all together. Waffle wants to join in but Simon says Waffle can't because he's not toilet trained yet. Simon puts Waffle in the utility room and is on high alert throughout the day, watching for the moment Waffle might need to go outside for a wee. Waffle decides to explore. He discovers a tunnel in the utility room cupboard which leads directly to Mrs Hobbs' house next door and her cat, George. Inside Mrs Hobbs' kitchen, Waffle spies her slippers. Waffle loves chewing tasty slippers! Back at the Brooklyn Bells', Simon realises that Waffle's missing. Doug notices the back door was left open, so they look for Waffle in the garden. Eventually, Waffle shows and Simon encourages him to go for a wee but Waffle's not interested. Ali suggests a game of "Ultimate Ball Pit Diveball". He hides one of Evie's snuggly toys in the ball pit. The aim of the game is to dive into the balls and find it. The game begins and Ali thinks he's found PegBaby in record time but instead he's found one of Mrs Hobbs' slippers! How did THAT get there?! After the playdate, Simon, Doug and Evie tiptoe next door and deliver Mrs Hobbs' slipper in her letterbox. On their return, Simon is delighted to find Waffle sitting at the back door, waiting to go outside for a wee. At last! At bedtime, Waffle says "night night" but Simon refuses to believe Waffle can talk.

Episode 5 - Waffle Grows
Evie and Doug are sad. Waffle's owner hasn't come forward, so he's leaving for the kennels where he'll wait for a new carer. As Simon practices playing his electric guitar, Waffle barks continuously and dog-phobic Mrs Hobbs bangs on the wall from next door, calling for peace and quiet. So, Simon switches to an acoustic guitar and Waffle joins in, adding musical squeaks with his toy bone. Simon's song lyrics remind Waffle he needs to say an important goodbye to Mrs Hobbs' cat, George. So, unbeknown to the Brooklyn-Bells, Waffle uses his secret tunnel in the utility cupboard to get into her house. The Brooklyn-Bells realise Waffle has disappeared when they hear Mrs Hobbs shriek. They rush to her house. Mrs Hobbs claims that Waffle has been in her home but Evie, Doug and Simon can see Waffle staring at them through the window of their own utility room! Confused, the family return home but with Waffle's help they discover the secret tunnel. When Jess phones to say she's on her way home from work to take Waffle to the kennels, even Simon feels sad. He performs a goodbye song which prompts Waffle to speak! Simon can't believe it but this time there's no denying - Waffle CAN talk. After some persuasion, Simon relents and the family all agree to keep Waffle for good. The mischievous pup is given his own collar and tag and soon it's official - Waffle is one of the Brooklyn-Bells! He grows to a 7-month-old dog; the adventures are just beginning.

The Brooklyn-Bells want to spend the day decorating Doug's bedroom but Simon's worried that Waffle will get in the way. Mrs Hobbs calls round, complaining that Waffle's bone has been thrown into her garden. She's started a dog log - every time Waffle bothers her or her cat, George, Mrs Hobbs will add it to her list! Doug, Simon and Jess begin painting Doug's room while Evie looks after Waffle and teaches him the meaning of "yes" and "no". Waffle learns quickly, so Evie rushes to share the news with the rest of the family but Waffle accidentally misunderstands a "yes" and enters the bedroom. He knocks into a ladder, trots through a dust sheet and green paint flies everywhere! Waffle exits the room, leaving a trail of green, painty paw prints through the house. Finally, Waffle escapes through the fence into Mrs Hobbs's garden and house next door! When the Brooklyn Bells finally arrive at Mrs Hobbs' house and get their hands on Waffle, they discover Mrs Hobbs perched on her kitchen worktop! This incident is definitely going in her dog log! Back home, Waffle is in disgrace and the painting is on hold, but Doug points out that Waffle needs clearer rules from his owners if he's going to learn. Mrs Hobbs calls round again, revealing that since the paint disaster, George has been happier. He loves the paint colour so much that Mrs Hobbs has decided to paint George's cat tree green. Doug offers the remains of the green paint. In return, Mrs Hobbs promises to throw back Waffle's bone next time it flies over the fence. Waffle says "thanks". Did Mrs Hobbs just hear Waffle doggy speak?

Waffle wants his ball to chase but Simon and Evie have forgotten it, so Waffle plays fetch with Simon's slipper instead. During the slipper chase, Waffle bumps into Anaya and her Mum, AJ. Simon and Evie join to say ,hello,. As Simon shakes his embarrassment at being caught in the park dressed in Jess's dressing gown, Waffle spots people playing in the park with a football! While Doug and Evie play with Poppy and Rowan Essam upstairs, their parents, Zack and Sophia share their top dog training tips with Jess and Simon in the garden. Meanwhile, Waffle encourages Baxter to enjoy mischievous fun in the kitchen. The pair begin licking dirty plates and then dig through the tunnel to Mrs Hobbs' house next door. While Mrs Hobbs vacuums obliviously, Waffle and Baxter chew her slippers. Undetected, they escape back through the tunnel to the Brooklyn-Bells' house and find Doug, Evie, Poppy and Rowan bouncing on the bed. It looks so much fun - Simon, Waffle and Baxter join in! Zack and Sophia are not impressed and leave in a hurry, taking Poppy, Rowan and Baxter with them. Reflecting on the day, the Brooklyn-Bells acknowledge that Waffle didn't learn from Baxter. If anything, Waffle taught Baxter how to be naughty! The doorbell rings and it's Mrs Hobbs posting her chewed slippers through the letterbox. She believes George chewed them thanks to Waffle's bad influence. But Jess knows better, and Waffle confesses to going through the tunnel into Mrs Hobbs' house with Baxter. Doug agrees and suggests that while Evie is playing with Anaya, they take Waffle to Mrs Hobbs' house and show off his new-found, good behaviour. The Brooklyn-Bells arrive on Mrs Hobbs' doorstep to find her busy baking cat biscuits for George. Distracted, she invites the family in. George appears for his cat biscuit treats and Waffle barks with excitement at seeing his friend. What's Waffle doing here?! Mrs Hobbs hadn't realised the Brooklyn-Bells had brought their annoying dog with them. Simon helps himself to some of Mrs Hobbs' freshly baked cat biscuits but she reminds him, they're not intended for humans. Simon lets Waffle have a taste. Determined to prove Waffle's insatiable appetite for her slippers, Mrs Hobbs presents Waffle with a slipper but to her surprise, Waffle resists temptation. Perhaps Waffle HAS changed after all. Mrs Hobbs invites the Brooklyn-Bells into her front room for cake, so they can tell her all about training Waffle. But unbeknown to them, Waffle decides to find George the cat upstairs. Downstairs, Simon, Doug, Jess and Mrs Hobbs notice that Waffle is missing and charge upstairs. They find George and Waffle are both feeling sick. While vet Jess checks that George's noisy tummy is nothing serious, Waffle parps! Mrs Hobbs is horrified. She's even more shocked when Waffle speaks! Mr Willow leads the Brooklyn-Bells into his garden and reveals a huge swimming pool - the perfect place for the dogs to cool off on a hot day. Trevor, Violet and Waffle dive straight in. Evie wants to show Mr Willow the tricks she and Waffle can do together but Waffle is playing with his doggy pals and doesn't hear Evie calling him. The family and Mr Willow explain to Evie it's important for Waffle to spend time with other dogs. Even if he's having loads of fun with them, he still loves her as much as ever. Mr Willow invites Waffle to stay for a sleepover which everyone thinks is a great idea, apart from Evie who doesn't want to leave her wonder dog behind. The Brooklyn-Bells head home without Waffle. They miss the chaotic pup and the house is very quiet with his absence. The silence is disturbed by the doorbell ringing and the family race to see if it's Waffle returning early. They are disappointed to find Mrs Hobbs on the doorstep. She is surprised and delighted by the peace now Waffle is away. Simon receives a video call from Mr Willow who passes the phone to Waffle. He's missing his family terribly and wants to come home. Waffle remembers his manners and thanks Mr Willow for having him before journeying home with Jess, Simon, Doug and Evie. They sing about their Waffle doggy and it's clear how much everyone missed him. The Brooklyn-Bells' pack just isn't the same without Waffle!

It's the hottest day of the year. Waffle's eating ice cream to cool down and Anaya and Ali arrive for a playdate with Evie and Doug. As the kids play in the garden, Simon tastes the ice cream. He loves it...until Jess reveals its doggy ice cream, especially for Waffle! Outside, Simon turns on the sprinkler to cool everyone down, but Waffle doesn't like it and darts through the hole in the fence to Mrs Hobbs' garden, looking for shade. The Brooklyn-Bells try to coax Waffle back but Waffle refuses. Doug remembers that Waffle likes swimming pools and fills the ball pit with cool water, hoping it will encourage Waffle's return. But it's too late. Mrs Hobbs has spotted Waffle in her garden and unusually, she wants him to stay! Determined to teach Waffle how to be good, Mrs Hobbs settles Waffle next to George the cat and plays him a calming podcast for dogs. Jess and Doug come up with a plan to get Waffle back. Doug and Ali rush next door to distract Mrs Hobbs with a survey about cats. With Mrs Hobbs safely out of the garden, Jess jumps over the fence on a space hopper and passes Waffle to Simon. George miaows. It seems he wants to come too, so Jess passes George over the fence. When Mrs Hobbs discovers that George is with the Brooklyn-Bells, she uses her garden umbrella to pole vault over the fence but splash lands in Waffle's ball pit pool! Mrs Hobbs finds it surprisingly refreshing but she's convinced she's caught a cold. Finally, while everyone enjoys the ball pit pond, Waffle and George stay out of the sun on deckchairs.

Episode 17 - Waffle is Unwell
Waffle's unwell and under strict orders to rest. When he sees Evie and Simon playing in the garden, Waffle feels left out and woofs incessantly, disturbing Mrs Hobbs next door. Like Waffle, Mrs Hobbs isn't feeling well, so Simon offers help. Mrs Hobbs writes a long list of chores including making banana cupcakes, soup, a freshly squeezed lemon drink and putting up a shelf! Simon asks Evie and Doug to help him complete the tasks but as they begin, Waffle craves attention and sulks. When the Brooklyn-Bells go next door to put up Mrs Hobbs' shelf, Waffle woofs and woofs. The Brooklyn-Bells return to find that Waffle's lost his voice. He's reminded to rest, so his voice comes back. With Simon's soup made, Doug's lemony drink prepared, and Evie's banana cupcakes cooled, the Brooklyn-Bells go back to Mrs Hobbs' house with their "get well" remedies. While they're gone, George the cat visits Waffle and begins preparing a lemony drink to make Waffle better. George accidentally knocks food from the work surfaces, making a big mess, and when the Brooklyn-Bells return, poor Waffle gets the blame. Finally, Waffle accepts that rest is the only cure for a sick doggy. He falls asleep for the whole afternoon. Waffle wakes to find the Brooklyn-Bells cooing over a kitten that Jess has brought home from work, but everyone is delighted to see that after rest and relaxation, Waffle has his voice back! To celebrate, Gramps arrives with a doggy jumper which he's knitted specially for the Wonder Dog. As the Brooklyn-Bells dress Waffle in his new jumper, the walls start to shake...Mrs Hobbs is singing her heart out - she's got her voice back too.

Episode 18 - Waffle and the Kitten
The Brooklyn-Bells are looking after the kitten from Jess's veterinary practice and Gramps is messily baking a sweet potato doggy cake with Waffle. When Waffle checks on the kitten, it's nowhere to be seen, so the family eagerly look for it. They don't see the kitten disappear through the tunnel to Mrs Hobbs' house next door. When Mrs Hobbs meets the kitten, she falls in love with it, leaving her own cat, George, feeling a little put out. Back at the Brooklyn-Bells' house, Waffle has sniffed the kitten's scent and knows it's crawled through his tunnel to Mrs Hobbs'. Waffle even goes through the tunnel himself, to double check! The Brooklyn-Bells knock on Mrs Hobbs' front door to retrieve the kitten, but she denies seeing it. Eventually, Waffle bursts into her house and leads the Brooklyn-Bells straight to the kitten. Mrs Hobbs confesses she lied about its whereabouts. The kitten had brought back so many happy memories of George as a young cat that she didn't want the kitten to leave. Simon reminds Mrs Hobbs that it's important to tell the truth. The Brooklyn-Bells return home with the kitten and wait for its owner to arrive. When the doorbell rings, they are surprised to see Mrs Hobbs... masquerading as the kitten's owner, wearing a fake moustache and a man's hat! It seems she will do anything to keep the kitten. When the kitten's real owner arrives, he grants permission for Mrs Hobbs to cuddle the kitten one last time. Amidst all the drama, Waffle gobbles the remains of the cake, but the family forgive him. They laugh at Waffle's silly antics and love him all the more for his cheekiness.

Jess is thrilled with the birthday gift from her Dad: a knitted jumper with a Waffle dog design on the front. Simon and Waffle put on a show for the excited guests, performing tricks Waffle has mastered. Soon, Mr. Meagre arrives with his talking parrot, Pickles, and Waffle is given a run for his money when it comes to entertaining! The two compete to be the star of the show, playing tricks on each other and making everyone laugh. While the attention turns to Pickles, Waffle, with help from Simon and Doug, comes up with a plan to steal back the limelight... With Waffle on his doggy stage and Simon on guitar, the pair begin their rendition of the song, "Waffle Doggy", but instead of squeaking his toy bone as usual, Waffle breaks into song, stunning the party guests. The audience go wild for Waffle the Wonder Dog's singing and he's crowned the official star of the day. While Jess prepares to cut her birthday cake, Doug and Evie make plans for Waffle to have a birthday party of his own. The Brooklyn-Bells don't know when Waffle was born, so Doug presents a calendar and Waffle chooses a date for his birthday with his paw. Waffle's official birthday party is set for the following week, just before the summer holidays end - hurray! Simon plays the guitar once more and this time it's Jess and Waffle who sing a lively duet and everyone joins in with a conga around the living room.

At last!
