I recently travelled to the University of Calgary for the Ivey-Haskayne “East Meets West” MBA Leadership Case Competition, an annual event that provides an opportunity for some of Canada’s top business students to think about leadership from a variety of perspectives by working through real-life cases from successful organizations.
The focus of this year’s case competition was TVO’s transformation, and it was an energizing experience. After they completed their full day of strategy and presentations, I shared with the students and judges some of the successes and challenges we have tackled since 2014.
One of the best parts of my role is that I have the opportunity to share with people from all walks of life what an amazing place TVO is. Speaking to that room filled with Canada’s next generation of business leaders, I was thrilled with the enthusiasm these students had for how TVO is constantly innovating to make a difference in the lives of Ontarians.
For me, the experience was an inspiring reminder of TVO’s unique value and our conviction that learning has the power to ignite potential – and change the world.
