Ontario has announced a substantial change in its policy regarding access to COVID-19 tests. The government no longer recommends that people without symptoms who are in low-risk populations access COVID-19 tests, as it will be prioritizing access for higher-risk populations.
The move comes as the province struggles once again with long lines at testing centres and substantial backlogs: according to data from Thursday morning, 53,840 tests are currently under investigation.
