Deborah is a Principal in a secondary school in Toronto. She brings over 25 years of varied educational experience and is a strong advocate for student empowerment and increasing teacher efficacy. Deborah has worked extensively with students, parents, staff and the broader community to implement and embed Restorative Practices which provides an effective framework to build, repair and sustain relationships. She presented a unique, grassroots model of implementing Restorative Practices, alongside students and staff at an international conference on Restorative Justice. She is currently working toward collaboratively leading increased knowledge mobilization through developing and promoting varied models of digital education in the context of maker spaces.
