Program # 15

We all know the type: hot headed, hostile and angry. And maybe, at risk of a heart attack. Don had no family history of heart disease. He hadn't smoked in 14 years, and he wasn't overweight. So how'd he end up with a quadruple bypass? Anger. Doctors now think that a short fuse and a bad temper can damage the heart.

Whether it is hiking in Nepal or taking the kids to visit their grandparents in Africa, Canadians do a lot of travelling. But are they prepared for the diseases they may be exposed to in other countries? Things like tuberculosis, cholera, and malaria. Dr. Jay Keystone is a staff physician at the Centre for Travel and Tropical Medicine at Toronto Hospital.
