What's a widget?

A widget is a portable, mini website that allows you to embed your favourite TVO.org content onto your own web page; or conversely allows you to share your widgets with friends and family by email.

Widgets can also be added to your personal blog (Blogger, LiveJournal, etc.) , social networks (Facebook, MySpace, etc.), start page (iGoogle, Yahoo, etc.) and bookmarks (Delicious, Yahoo MyWeb, etc.).

How do I add a widget to my personal web space?

1. Click the SHARE button on the lower right corner of the widget.
2. Share panel

A Share panel should appear that will allow you to:

  1. Post the widget to your blog, online start page or Facebook.
  2. Bookmark the widget to your favourite bookmark service.
  3. Email the widget to your friends.

Simply scroll over your preferred platform for sharing this widget and click on the icon. A new browser window should appear, if not, click on the Embed code at the bottom of the widget and paste this code into your blog, profile or web page accordingly.
