Arctic Fever!
10 students from across North America set off on an expedition of a lifetime, camping, not on land, but on the frozen ice of the Arctic Ocean. Their goal is to experience one of our planet’s best kept secrets and to learn how we can better live in harmony with the natural world. We witness how they foster a new understanding and respect for the planet and for each other. In this way, we will not only be left with the excitement of the journey, but with insight on how the members of the group gain fresh perspectives, connect with the natural world, and increase their awareness of the earth as a global ecosystem.
Watch the documentary as it airs as part of Sprockets, the International Film Festival for Children. Audience members can participate in a Question and Answer session immediately following the 1 hour documentary. Arctic Fever airs Monday May 2nd at 9:45 and Wednesday May 4th at 1:15 pm at the Famous Players Canada Square at Yonge and Eglinton.

This is a unique 13-part reality series that lets the viewer spend "a day in the life" of adolescents from one end of the planet to the other. At each Get Outta Town! destination, the host teams up with a local teen to learn how the natives live, love, study, think, work, eat and play. The plugged-in "resident hosts" play tour guide to Barbara and Joe as they crash the coolest places, hear the latest music, and indulge in the "extreme" - canyoning in Costa Rica, skateboarding in Munich, shopping for bargains in Paris, just to name a few examples.
Given the recent Tsunami disaster in Southeast Asia, it is now more important than ever that teens learn the importance of global citizenship in our changing world.
