Jane Austen has been an interest and a passion since Eileen was a child. In grade nine, she founded the London, Ontario Chapter of the Jane Austen Society of North America (JASNA), which still thrives seven years later. A self-professed 'Janeite', Eileen's love for all-things-Austen continues to grow.

Louise Yearwood
Louise Yearwood has been a Jane Austen enthusiast all her life, from her first reading of Emma at age 12. She joined the Toronto Chapter of JASNA about 12 years ago and has served as President for the past 10 years. Louise has an honours English degree from the University of Toronto and a diploma in Journalism from Ryerson University.

Elsa Solender
Elsa Solender was present at the founding of JASNA in 1979. She served as President from 1996-2000 and has continued in various leadership roles ever since. She has taught literature and writing at the University of Chicago and Goucher College, and has published articles and lectured on Jane Austen.
