My name is Jason and I have been a Canadian Armed Forces for 12 years. I am a Sergeant, currently posted with 1RCR in Petawawa, in the communication fields as a Signal Operator. My wife and I have 2 children, Olivia age four and Liam age seven. We spent the first seven years of our military life at CFB Kingston and were posted to CFB Petawawa 4 years ago. I have been on four deployments since 2001, one of these being to Afghanistan in 2006. Work up training is beginning now for my next deployment to Afghanistan in April 2010.

My name is Kerri McQuigge and I have been a proud Canadian forces military spouse for 12 years. My husband Jason is a Sergeant, currently posted with 1RCR in Petawawa. He is in the communication field as a Signal Operator. We have 2 children, Olivia age 4 and Liam age year. We spent the first 7 years of our military life at CFB Kingston and were posted to CFB Petawawa 4 years ago. I also work full time outside of the home. Jason has been for 4 deployments since 2001, one of these being to Afghanistan in 2006. He is beginning his work up training to deploy again to Afghanistan in April 2010. I have been member of an informal wives group since the Afghanistan deployment in 2006. This group was formed so we could all support each other during what turned out to be a very long and hard tour.
