Marie Larivière has been a French Immersion educator since 1995. She has taught at the elementary level in the public school system in British Columbia. Her experience in F.I. includes Kindergarten, teacher-librarian, learning assistance/case manager and grade 3. She also served as Treasurer for the BC Immersion Teachers Association. She completed a Master's degree in Leadership studies at the University of Victoria in 2002. In 2006, after 20 years in British Columbia, Marie moved to Ottawa and is currently the Executive Director of the Canadian Association of Immersion Teachers.

Monika Ferenczy is the president of Canadian Parents For French. She was born in Montreal and educated in French and English public, separate and private schools in Quebec and Ontario, obtaining her BA and BEd at the University of Toronto and her MEd with a concentration in Leadership in Education from the University of Ottawa in 2006. She worked as an educator for public and separate school boards in the GTA and in London, Ontario - teaching French Immersion in the primary, junior and intermediate divisions and Core French in the junior and intermediate divisions. She has also taught primary-junior grades in the French First Language school system. She holds Specialist qualifications in French Second Language and Special Education.
