Maya Gallus is a documentary filmmaker based in Toronto. She produced and directed “Girl Inside”, where she followed Madison, a transgender female, for three years, through her transition, from hormone treatments to sex reassignment surgery. Maya runs Red Queen Productions with her partner and has made several other feature-length documentaries, including “Erotica: A Journey Into Female Sexuality, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and was nominated for a Genie award. Her other films include “Elizabeth Smart: On the Side of Angels”, “Punch Like A Girl”, a six-part reality series on amateur women’s boxing, and “Fag Hags: Women Who Love Gay Men”

Rupert Raj is a transgender male of East Indian and Polish descent, who transitioned more than 30 years ago. He is a psychotherapist who offers peer counseling to the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community at the Sherbourne Health Centre in Toronto. He has received two lifetime achievement awards for his decades of transactivism across Canada and the US. He has established three organizations – the Foundation for the Advancement of Canadian Transsexuals (FACT), the Metamorphosis Medical Research Foundation, and GenderWorker.

Anne Hines was once described as Canada’s answer to Irma Bombeck. Anne has been a humour and lifestyle writer for Canadian Living and Chatelaine magazines. She has published two novels, “Fishing Up The Moon”, and “The Spiral Garden”, and also released a collection of nonfiction humour, “A Year in Hinesight”. She is currently working on a third novel while she pursues a Masters in Theology at the University of Toronto. She is the mother of two children, including a transgender female, and is a member of Transceptance, a peer support group for parents of transgender children.
