Topic: Is it a sign of Alzheimer's?
I am in my 40's and find my memory isn't what it used to be. I used to be one of those people who could meet a person at a party, and remember his or her name forever after. Now, I sometimes forget the names of colleagues (not the people I see everyday, but it's kind of a "use it or lose it" thing). I hear other people in my age group say the same thing, so I think this kind of memory loss may be normal. But when is it not? When should we worry about our memory? Can small losses now result in big losses later? If anyone has any ideas or experiences to share, I'd love to hear them. Thanks.

I think it's normal

Everyone our age talks about this.     We're all starting to forget things like names, words.    I think it's normal.  At least I hope it is, because everyone I know is in the same boat.  Now when my kids tell me about something coming up, I tell them to remind me, because I know I'll forget.  Life is just too busy and sometimes it seems difficult to store all the info you need.  From the research I've read for our upcoming show, this kind of memory loss is normal.  I'm sure this question will come up on the show Sunday night.

ahhh Normal...
As Sandra Shamas said in her show Wit's End - the nouns go after 40.  You just simply wake up one day forgetting the names of things...
