Rosa Bustamante , originally from the Phillipines, is a former teacher and columnist at Balita. Rosa has a Masters in Education, Multicultural Studies from OISE/UT, and a Masters in Guidance and Counseling from the Philippines.

Raminder Gill created history in Ontario by becoming the first South Asian member of provincial parliament (MPP) in 1999, and is the first Indo-Canadian to be appointed citizenship judge in the province.

Avvy Go is the clinic director at the Metro Toronto Chinese and Southeast Asian Legal Clinic.

Senthooran Uruthiralingam was born in Jaffna, Sri Lanka and came to Canada in 1993. Senthooran is a fourth year student pursuing a Specialist in Economics and Political Science at the University of Toronto, and serves as vice president external on the student government for the Scarborough Campus Students' Union (SCSU) at University of Toronto Scarborough.

Ting-xing Ye was born in Shanghai, China. In 1997, she was invited by York University to study English and decided to stay in Canada when she finished her studies. She is now a full-time writer and has published seven books, including her first: A Leaf in the Bitter Wind.
