It appeared that Anne Golden didn't appreciate the "walks like a duck" comment. I found that the comment approached being a little disrespectful. However, the interview as a whole was quite interesting and entertaining. It'll be interesting to see if any updated reports are produced, or if the whole initiative will be scrapped. Of course, even with the current three reports being retracted, it's still quite possible (and likely) that they'll be referenced as good evidence by politicians, lobby groups and the media.

After listening to this report Jessie I can only rotflmao. I am left to wonder why nobody read the report before it was released.

I wish all journalists were courageous enough to say "that may be good enough for you, but it's not good enough for me".
As far as investigating the report: the only explanation I can think of for not wanting to find out the reason for such a credibility-destroying act, is if you already know the reason.

The funders of the report (Canadian copyright lobbyists) actively pressured him to come to the conclusions that they wanted to see. He asked to have his name removed from the report prior to publication - and Anne Golden called him to talk it over and then hung up on him.
But she seemed so nice in the interview!

At the end of this episode Jesse mentions a treaty, Canada's position on the treaty, and an attempt to contact Canada's representative for an interview.
I wrote a blog article about my own intervention in getting in contact with Bruce Couchman, the person Jesse named. Unfortunately my emails and facebook messages to Jesse haven't been received yet, so I don't know if he plans to follow-up on this interesting issue.
Summary: From what I can see, Canada is not blocking the treaty, and that this issue has thus far been mis-reported.

I understand there is a lot going on, even on Copyright given that tomorrow (Monday July 20'th) there will be further announcements about the consultation the Conservatives are holding on Copyright. There are a lot of things that Canada is doing wrong on Copyright, but we should still be as accurate as possible in our reporting. I still believe that this deserves an errata in some future episode.
