SEVERN CULLIS-SUZUKI Her father is David Suzuki and Severn Cullis-Suzuki is definitely her father's daughter. From the age of twelve she's been making a name for herself on the world stage, trying to save the planet from environmental disaster. In a new book of essays, Cullis-Suzuki and other young people explain what motivated them to take action to change the world. It's called Notes from Canada's Young Activists.
DAVID SHANNON David Shannon knows about adversity. At the age of eighteen, he broke his neck playing rugby. He was left a quadriplegic, but that didn't hold him back. He went on to become a lawyer and a tireless advocate for the rights of the disabled. Now he has written a book about how to remove the barriers faced by those with disabilities. It's called Six Degrees of Dignity.
