He's a renowned urban thinker who has revolutionized our ideas about what drives a city's economic prosperity. Richard Florida contends that the so-called "creative class" is key to a city's success. Among his findings, he says the more gay-friendly a city is, the more likely it will prosper. Florida is head of the Martin Prosperity Institute at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management. His new book is called "Who's Your City? How the Creative Economy is Making Where to Live the Most Important Decision of Your Life".
